Our Journey

TBC Shotcrete Pumping is LED by Savern Rapana, who took over the family business in August 2025 after years of working his way through the trade.

Born into a hardworking New Zealand family of ten, Savern was introduced to the concreting industry from a young age. His father, Eli, built a life for their family through hard work, sacrifice — creating OPPORTUNITIES and STABILITY.

Savern first began working alongside his father part-time in 2010 before committing full-time in 2014. Through years of hands-on EXPERIENCE, leadership development, resilience and building strong relationships within the industry, he became supervisor in 2020 before eventually taking over the business in 2025 and helping shape the future of TBC Shotcrete Pumping.

FAMILY is at the heart of everything Savern does.

Savern’s VISION for TBC Shotcrete Pumping is to carry the business into the next generation through strong relationships, smarter systems, trusted relationships, a more EFFICIENT approach to the trade, and the same hardworking family values it was founded on.

TBC Shotcrete Pumping represents both LEGACY and EVOLUTION — honouring where it came from while continuing to build a stronger future for the trade.

Our Vision

As the NEXT GENERATION of leadership takes the business forward, our vision extends BEYOND the worksite. We aim to create opportunities for young people entering the workforce by providing support, guidance, mentorship, and pathways into the trade industry.

A strong FOCUS of this vision is helping youth build confidence, develop real-world skills, and create financial stability for their future goals — whether that is further education, serving others, supporting their families, building a career, or pursuing meaningful opportunities in life.

For us, it is about more than concrete.
